why ‘pandion’?

- ‘Pandion’ is the name of my first boat, after the ospreys (Pandion Haliaetus) that live near my parents’ house where I built her with my father when I was 15. That project was responsible for a big part of my life; I figured I'd use the name again.

will you design me a boat?

- I’d love to, but I won’t do it through Pandion Art & Design; designing boats is my real job, and I won’t compete with myself and/or colleagues, so please feel free to contact me at pbuescher@dlba-inc.com for any marine-related design.

when’s it (whatever “it” is) going to be finished?

- Whenever I'm done working on it. Probably not soon. I work to deadlines every day at my real job; I don't here.

why so expensive?

- Everything I do is custom.

- As art goes, it’s not that expensive.

- As of December 2009 and the creation of Pandion Art & Design, I don’ t make copies/prints of my drawings anymore, unless it’s a piece that was created with the intention of being reproduced. That is to say that if you commission a piece of art from me, you’ll own the original, and no prints will be made available. See my philosophy about one-off art and design.

- Diesel engines and nice lumber are expensive… I’ve got boats to build.

do you sleep?

-Sometimes.

do i have to buy something, or can i just donate funding to further the development of the new boat?

-Alright, so nobody has really ever asked that, but it sure would be excellent if people did.
